Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks: Simply So Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips & Hummus

I have to share my favourite guilty pleasure snack. I am confirmed addicted to these whole grain, sprouted tortilla chips. (Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks) Obsessed! They are so tasty and so good for you. Definitely a healthier option and in my opinion, tastier, alternative to the greasy, over processed and fattening potato chips that make you regret eating them afterwards. I found these at Costco and am a fan for life. Seriously.

What makes them healthy?

They are all natural, vegan, certified gluten-free, non-GMO, certified kosher, are a good source of fiber and they contain no trans-fat, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Another plus is that each serving has over ‘400mg of Omega 3 essential fatty acids and at least 17 grams of whole grains.’ They claim that sprouting is known to enhance the bioavailability of nutrients which help to aid in digestion. The broccoli and radish seeds contain sulphoraphane and glucosinolate which is the natural antioxidant that is found in broccoli.

All that and they’re incredibly yummy too…

Among all those good things, they are incredibly delicious!  They are amazing on their own, or dipped in low-fat traditional hummus. A nice chip-and-dip alternative for sure.

From the Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks site:

Our Broccoli and Daikon Radish seeds contain sulphoraphane glucosinolate, the natural antioxidant found in broccoli. Plus, each serving of our chips contains at least 17 grams of whole grains.

Oh, and OUR chips are delicious!

  1. I love that brand of tortilla chips too – the sweet chili is maybe my favourite (and surprisingly spicy!), along with the sweet potato and multigrain flavours. So good with salsa!

  2. Yeah, they are amazing Genevieve! So far the Sweet Chili is my all time fav, but I have also had the Sweet Potato ones too. I love dipping them in hummus. We have the Black Bean ones but haven’t tried them yet. I want to try the Blue Corn ones sometime, they sound like they’d be amazing with salsa!
