I have to share my favourite guilty pleasure snack. I am confirmed addicted to these whole grain, sprouted tortilla chips. (Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks) Obsessed! They are so tasty and so good for you. Definitely a healthier option and in my opinion, tastier, alternative to the greasy, over processed and fattening potato chips that make you regret eating them afterwards. I found these at Costco and am a fan for life. Seriously.
What makes them healthy?
They are all natural, vegan, certified gluten-free, non-GMO, certified kosher, are a good source of fiber and they contain no trans-fat, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Another plus is that each serving has over ‘400mg of Omega 3 essential fatty acids and at least 17 grams of whole grains.’ They claim that sprouting is known to enhance the bioavailability of nutrients which help to aid in digestion. The broccoli and radish seeds contain sulphoraphane and glucosinolate which is the natural antioxidant that is found in broccoli.
All that and they’re incredibly yummy too…
Among all those good things, they are incredibly delicious! They are amazing on their own, or dipped in low-fat traditional hummus. A nice chip-and-dip alternative for sure.
