Definitely appreciating those quick snacks, still (and my little one is 6 months old now). Yogurt parfaits are the bomb and high in protein. Topped this with some of that @manitobaharvest organic hemp granola that I was sent the other day. This is the blueberry flavor. I can honestly say that I am a huge fan, so far had the blueberry and dark chocolate and it’s so tasty to just eat on its own.
I know it’s been a while, but new blog post is live (link in bio). In collaboration with @yupik.ca! Organic ancient black rice blend with golden raisins and toasted walnuts. Check it out! Vegan, and gluten free.
End of the year typical post. Haven’t been as active here but 2018 was spent being pregnant much of the time, and getting used to life with a baby! Oh, and also diving deep into photography, with family, maternity, newborn/infant and in general, photo sessions with people! (@jsousaphotography) - see you in 2019 fellow foodies ✨💕
Heyyy guys, it’s me and my husband @bbqskool, haven’t been posting as much lately but wanted to pop in and say 👋🏻 - been busy with photos all the same, but portraits of families, babies and Christmas minis!
Made some toasted hazelnut chocolate butter crunch (topped mine with some almonds) from the holiday edition of the @lcbofoodanddrink and it’s 👌🏼👍🏼 #bakingseason
Cue the season where baked goods show up all over the place in your feed. ⁣ ⁣ Ps, we decided to push doing the Whole30 ahead until sometime in the new year, since we didn’t have the time to properly plan and prep. Life with a baby 💁🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣⁣⁣
And just like that, it’s November! Really looking forward to the holiday season. Ella is going to love the Christmas tree, and I can’t wait to do some holiday recipes soon.
Sooo it sounds like my husband and I will be doing a round of the #whole30 in November. I’m doing it to support him, plus I love doing it. This whole30 approved creamy cauliflower soup will definitely be made lots. This round of the Whole30 will be great, because it will get me back into the routine of meal prepping which is a huge time saver.
Been a bit busy for recipe testing and development, so here’s some apples 😂 I wanted to test out one of the new backdrops I made. I’m a fan. #dyi (ps, if you want to see what I have been up to lately, check out @jsousaphotography)
What are your favourite dishes for fall? Like, all the comfort foods? I wanna know. Mine include all kinds of soup, shepherd’s pie, roasted veggies and all the squash (spaghetti squash is one of my favs). Comment yours below. (Ps, recipe for a variation of this Shepherd’s pie is on the blog archives).
Cookies! Today is a monumental day in history for Canada. Today marks the legalization of cannabis for our country. About time, if you ask me. (Ps, these are just maple pecan oatmeal cookies).
What’s your favourite thing to make with pumpkins? ⁣ ⁣ I think many people resort to a sweet baked good like pie, muffins, scones, etc. and don’t realize how good pumpkin is in savory dishes like soup, roasted with root veggies, or as a pasta sauce 👌🏼⁣ I love using pie pumpkins for both sweet and savory pumpkin dishes. ⁣ 🎃🎃🎃
Happy Friday! 🍂🍃🍎⁣ ⁣ Guys, please watch @bromabakery IG story right now. From your friendly Canadian foodie here, I urge you guys to exercise your right to vote and help to make a difference for your country. ⁣ ⁣ Love, ⁣ effyeahfood and the rest of Canada ✌🏻 🇨🇦
So, back to our regularly scheduled fall programming starting tomorrow. We had a bit of a heat wave and high summer like temps over the past few days. Fall, come at me! Curried roasted pumpkin soup ftw.
The juiciest Asian Pears from the @redbarnfruitfarm. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, full of visits with friends and time spent with family over lots of delicious homemade food. #grateful #thanksgiving
